Sustainability definitions

Sustainability: Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs [United Nations Brundtland Commission]

Shared Value: Creating economic value in a way that also creates value for society - the competitiveness of a company and the health of the communities around it are mutually dependent.

Circular Economy: Going against the current linear (take-make-dispose) economic model, and bending it into a never ending close-loop model that is regenerative and restorative by nature and design, building products and services that give back more than they take.

Systems Thinking: A way of exploring and developing effective action by looking at connected wholes rather than separate parts.
